When you record a video on HopHire, your video captures your face and your voice. Informed Consent: By recording a video on HopHire, you provide your informed written consent to our collection, storage, and use of this biometric data for the purposes described in this policy: showing your video to Employers you apply to or who match with your profile.
No Automated Profiling: HopHire does not use automated facial recognition, voiceprint analysis, or AI-based scoring to evaluate candidates for hiring. Videos are presented to Employers for their own human review.
No Sale or Profiling Use: HopHire does not sell or rent your biometric data. We do not share your biometric data with any third party except (a) the Employers you affirmatively apply to or match with, and (b) the storage and infrastructure providers listed in Section 4 who process the data on our behalf under contract.
Storage: Videos are stored encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) on our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare Stream, and AWS).
Access: Your video profile is visible to Employers browsing the Platform. Video applications are visible only to the specific Employer you applied to. Video interview recordings are accessible only to the participants.
Retention and Deletion: We retain your biometric data for as long as your account is active. If you delete an individual video, it is removed from our active systems within 30 days. If you delete your entire account, all biometric data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the deletion request, subject to a brief grace period during which you may cancel deletion. Backup copies are purged within 90 days.
Your Rights: You may re-record or delete any individual video at any time from your profile settings. You may delete your entire account, including all biometric data, at any time from the in-app Settings menu or from hophire.app/delete-account.
AI Note: HopHire does use AI (via Anthropic/Claude) to parse text resumes and job descriptions into structured data to improve job matching. This processing is performed server-side, the raw text is not stored after parsing, and only the structured output (e.g., skills, experience, job requirements) is retained. AI is never used on your video, face, or voice.
HopHire uses Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) to allow you to create an account and log in using your Google credentials. When you choose to sign in with Google, we access the following Google user data:
Data Accessed: Your Google account email address and display name. We request only the minimum scopes necessary for authentication (email and profile). We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service data.
Data Usage: Your Google email and display name are used solely to create and authenticate your HopHire account, pre-fill your profile information, and communicate account-related notifications. We do not use your Google data for advertising, retargeting, or any purpose unrelated to providing the HopHire service.
Data Sharing: Your Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with any third parties for their independent use. Google data may be shared with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) strictly for the purpose of authenticating your session and storing your account record. No other third parties receive your Google user data.
Data Storage & Protection: Your Google user data is stored in our secure Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL). Access to user records is restricted by role-based access controls. Authentication tokens are stored securely and are never exposed to client-side code or logs.
Data Retention & Deletion: Your Google user data is retained only as long as your HopHire account remains active. When you delete your account (via Settings > Delete Account), all associated Google user data — including your email and name — is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days.
